Just slightly ahead of the electrical sports car explosion came Infiniti’s Essence concept unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Deciding that it was high time to quit treading water on the gorgeous principle, Infiniti has produced serious plans to generate a whole new sports car that will be inspired by this exact same idea. It’s unclear as to whether this new vehicle will carry the exact same hybrid powertrain as the thought - a 592 hp petrol-electric hybrid engine - but just the fact that we will get a sports vehicle that looks like the Essence is enough for now. The unfortunate news in this matter is that Infiniti isn’t expecting to develop the auto for a few years due to the fact of other vehicles they are deeming a priority on the present time.
What is supposedly a lot more critical than a whole new sports automobile? Apparently, Infiniti is focusing on a brand new compact auto that may compete with models like the Audi A3 and BMW 1-series, too as a luxury electric hatchback based around the Nissan Leaf. The future compact model might be a front-drive model and could even use a Mercedes platform, following the current strategic tie-up in between Daimler and Nissan-Renault.
It is funny, we wrote that last paragraph and all we read was, "Blah, blah, blah! We need to see the Essence!"
